Guy Royle’s bold contemporary jewellery is known for its superb quality and powerfully primitive motifs. His necklaces, bangles and earrings carry echoes of the adornments worn by primitive man, and are made using beaten and etched silver and 18ct gold set with semi-precious stones and beads that have been shaped and polished by the artist himself.
Guy was born in Devon in 1954. He had no formal training but became assistant to celebrated 20th century artist Breon O'Casey in the 1980s, working in weaving, jewellery and latterly sculpture. Guy has since primarily worked as a jeweler with interests in printmaking and sculpture. Hi lives and works in West Cornwall.
