Out and about along the north coast on a wild winter’s day, blasted by intermittent squally showers which have settled in for the day. Carn Galver, or Galva to give it its old Cornish spelling, squats gloomily in the distance, a granite hulk which has presided over the landscape since Neolithic times when it was a tor enclosure, visible for several miles in all directions. Looking around, I suspect the landscape has changed very little since then.
